Averyl Oates is the Managing Director of 10 Corso Como New York and brings to the role an extensive breadth of experience working with multi-channel global retailers and fashion brands. An industry influencer, Ms. Oates is known and respected for her excellent brand curation, commercial flair and inspirational leadership style. Before joining 10 Corso Como in June 2017, she was the Commercial Director of the Fashion Division of Galeries Lafayette in Paris where she was responsible for the largest P&L in the group, curating the brand portfolio and overseeing refurbishment and renovation projects including the new menswear Haussmann store and the Marais project.

Ms. Oates began working with luxury fashion brands 20 years ago at Club 21 in Singapore and the UK and in 1998 she moved to New York to work as VP/GMM at Donna Karan International. In 2001 Ms. Oates went back to London to transform the Harrods womenswear department as General Merchandise Director, and three years later became Fashion and Merchandising Director at Harvey Nichols, overseeing all product strategy for their global network. After seven years at the renowned luxury department store, she joined private equity backed start-up LUXUP.com as Global Commercial and Founder Director, where she established high-level brand partnerships, drawing on her extensive network and personal reputation. Having worked at some of the most well-respected establishments in the retail industry, Ms. Oates has a global perspective and in-depth knowledge of international and domestic markets and consumer behavior.
