Marc Dolce is the Vice President and Adidas Creative Director. One of the 3 founders of the Brooklyn Creator Farm, a place to fuel creativity and innovation. The BCF is an open source creation center, and his role is to shape creative direction across the entire adidas brand. Marc leverages his connections and global trends increasingly shaped in Brooklyn and NYC, the focus will be on building relationships with local sports, street culture and creative communities in the New York area
Marc was born and raised in Brooklyn. Growing up in NYC, he played competitive sports…football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and basketball. Marc attended Ft Hamilton HS, were he focused on art, design and fashion. He was educated at Pratt Institute in Fort Green, Brooklyn to study Industrial Design with a focus on Transportation. He had initially wanted to design cars, but the accessibility and creativity that shoes afforded ultimately made them more intriguing. While in school, Dolce got his first job in footwear at 19 yrs old…and blending his passion for design and sport working with signature athletes to create product solutions to make them better..
Fast forward two decades, and indeed, Dolce’s achievements have earned critical acclaim and enabled significant contribution to the athletic industry. With 20 years of product design experience in the athletic, footwear and apparel industry. He’s had amazing results throughout his career. He fosters a strong team dynamic by empowering and growing individual designers. Led design studios by delivering strong seasonal narrative and direction. His strengths include design strategies and concepts, line building, leadership and organizational skills.
Consistently look to partner design and business, and have helped deliver $1 Billion+ in yearly sales with continued double digit future growth. Marc has a clear understanding of the ever-changing global marketplace. Professional experience includes product design and development, Performance Innovation Footwear - Signature product for professional athletes, Fashion street style footwear, Retro / Lifestyle & Sport-Casual styles for men and women. Also including Product Packaging with deep storytelling and narrative, Utilizing feedback and insights from both athletes and consumers to add culturally relevant design cues resulting in an emotional connection with the product.
Marc strongly feels the design community has an opportunity to change perception of how people use products everyday. What do they feel when they interact with design and how to make someone's life better. His design style is iconic, creative and unique, with a focus on celebrating innovations through the category's seasonal aesthetic language. Marc portrays excellent inter-personal skills along with a consistent desire to represent and promote a positive company image.
