Gemma Gambee Lewis is a meditation and spiritual teacher nurturing the integration between the mind and the soul. Her work liberates individuals from the limitations of their habits, trauma and pain to living thriving lives of their own design.
Throughout Lewis’ life, her courage and curiosity have led her to study mysticism in many forms. She learned prayer as a small child in an Irish-Catholic family and found her inner connection to the divine as a young girl in the Catholic Church. Yet, like so many, she struggled with the church’s dogma. This set her on a path of studying world religion and, as a young adult, she found meditation through the mystical traditions of India.
Concurrent with Gemma’s spiritual studies, she received a BFA in Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an AA in Psychology and Art History from Loyola University in Chicago. For two decades, she expressed her creativity through a career in fashion modeling, trend forecasting, and concept design while simultaneously training in the classical traditions of Yoga, Bhakti, Kashmir Shaivism, the Vedas and Vedanta with some of the most respected teachers in the world.
Her seeking and studying proved to her that there is a throughline in all of the mystical traditions, from Catholicism to Kabbalah to Tantra to Art. It’s the most profound teaching of all: that though we may not be able to find the semantics to collectively explain it, there is one truth that we are all able to experience.
Alongside her teaching, Gemma is a mother, wife, and artist. Her teachings draw from her years of study and daily practice and all that she’s learned from a challenging, soul-changing path toward her own healing. Gemma employs meditation, visualization, conversation, and free-writing as the foundational tools in connecting one’s soul and one’s mind. Her deepest hope is that through her accessible and honest approach, you are able to heal yourself, connect to your innermost truth, and live a life with perpetual peace.
