After narrowing down our pool of applicants to ten worthy and inspiring semifinalists, we’ve now chosen our top three. Jewelbots, The New.Stand and Tulip Retail will each present their concept at FTF: Conference in hopes of becoming the next FoF Award winner. Below, find out some more about these three startups – and watch this space (and the FTF social media channels) on Thursday to see wins the top prize.
Jewelbots are friendship bracelets for the iPhone era. Technology-enabled jewelry for teen girls, they’re a means of communicating with friends by lighting up when a BFF is near or buzzing to send messages to a pal across the school. In addition to offering girls a wearable-tech social tool made just for them, the open-source software exposes users to the possibilities of coding in a fun and fresh way.
The New.Stand humbly stands at the intersection of media and retail, and the heart of people’s daily lives, ane part convenience store, offering elevated essentials, and one part discovery platform, designed to introduce new products and ideas. From fresh juice to a fresh bit of wearable tech, New.Stand small footprint stores, combined with their mobile app, offer things that enhance the daily routine. The New.Stand believes in the power of having a new day, every day.
In retail, sales associates are the key to delivering breakthrough experiences. We want our store associates to be experts, but mobile-enabled customers now have access to more product knowledge than ever before. Tulip Retail re-empowers associates to be brand authorities through the world’s first Sales Associate Mobility Platform. Tulip’s in-store modules include Clienteling, Product Knowledge, Catalog, Inventory, Mobile POS, Communications and more.
